The UFC may have jumped the shark with this fight. Not only did Rampage clearly win that fight, Forrest winning is bordering on absolute corruption.
I've been saying the whole time that I thought Forrest would pull off a crazy upset, but not like this.
The only round that Griffin clearly won was round 2, and Rampage clearly won round 1 and I think at least two others.
I watched the fight with 12 people, 4 of which train in Ludlow,MA under Gonzaga and Marco for Team Link. 7 people that were seemingly knowledgable MMA fans and myself. Not one person in the room could look at any other person there and say that Forrest won the fight.
I love Forrest and that was a great fight, but UFC just looked like WWE tonight and I'm furious.
#1- I dont care who your friends train with, name dropping does not decide a winner of a fight.
#2- You must have seen the more powerful puncher as the more effective fighter. Which is a good argument but the judges decided that Rampage got outworked, sorry.
There are many different ways to look at a fight. I saw it 3 to 2 Forrest. or a draw.....

Thus why I said that I could see 48-47 Griffin to 49-46 Rampage. It depends on how a particular judge scores a tossup round, or if they score it 10-10, which DOES happen, just rarely.

What did Rampage do to win the fight??? Yes, he almost knocked Forrest out. He got a take down or two and got in a good body shot and a few more other good punches.

Now look at what Forrest did. He controlled the majority of the fight by pressing forward. He landed many hard leg kicks that obviously hurt Rampage. He mounted Rampage and hit him with some good punches. Don't forget that triangle that he put on Rampage too.

You can't say that Rampage won. Just accept the fact that a TUFer is a great fighter and is at the top of the LHW division.
Exactly. Good to see some intelligence on here.

Out of my friends, a few know the sport very well, and we all thought it was a clear victory for page- as did nearly all hooters jackasses
They "know the sport very well"? What does that mean? They watch a lot?

And no, random redneck fans are NOT the ones to judge a fight. They don't understand anything other than "Me want see punch! See smash! Want blood! See guy hurt! He hurt! Other guy win!"

Exactly. Rampage was looking for the KO the entire fight. He didn't get it. He may have had Forrest stunned 2-3 times but he was never even close to finishing the fight those times.

Forrest on the other hand looked to pick Rampage apart. He did his job and he almost snapped Rampage's leg in half. Those kicks did way more damage than Rampage's punches did to Forrest. Forrest recovered from the punches. Rampage never recovered from the kicks.
