Shoulder PT

Thought I was turning the corner with my shoulder and could get back to Sheiko after next week. Shit hurt as bad as it ever has today. Should have quit when the pain started coming on, but I pushed through like an idiot.

Tried to get some light bench in, but it was no good. Racked the bar on the last set and called my doctor to bump up my next appointment. Incomprehensible demoralization.

Wasn't even paying attention to sets/reps. I'm the type that really needs a program to follow and with this shoulder issue eliminating most of the upper body movements my workouts have completely gone to shit.

Saw the doctor today and he gave me a steroid injection in my shoulder. Also prescribed anti inflammatories, ordered an MRI, and referred for PT. I told him I thought one problem could be my Teres Minor and he said he'd never seen that before. Maybe his polite way of saying I'm a dipshit, but I still think it's possible.

Steroid injection worked well and I had no pain in my right shoulder. Bad news is that the same pain started in my left shoulder. Seems like an obvious issue with my form, but I feel like I've had the same form with heavier weights for a long time with no issue. Hope it's just a fluke and things are normal again soon.

Shoulder issues fucking suck, as they restrict so much of what one can do in the gym. If you have access to a Swiss Bar, I'd highly recommend trying to press with a neutral grip. Much easier on the shoulders.
