Idk I think khamzat wouldve wrestlefucked him and likely subbed him. Costa would be gassed after all the wrestling

Quite a few fighters can destroy Khamzat standing up. Unfortunately this is MMA where takedowns and wrestling are allowed

chimaev couldn't keep WW Usman on the ground in the 3rd. He doesn't have the wrestling advantage with guys his size at MW. Costa would've tragically changed the trajectory of chimaev's career. Besides, there's no way the UFC gives the title to a guy who can't fight outside of UAE because of his terrorist ties.

if for whatever reason Khamzat can’t or just won’t take him down then yeah I can see it. Khamzat is starting to get overrated. He’s pretty underwhelming if he can’t get a rush finish. Costa is almost the same though with his gas tank.
