Media Islam Makhachev successfully gets the name of DC & Chael's show changed

This is kind of silly but I don't blame them for trying something, anything, to make Islam marketable or at least slightly interesting.

It also reminds people that a show with DC and Chael on it exists. So two birds, one stone.

Most of GSP title defenses were against unranked WWs.

Nah they were good defences except Dan Hardy.
Jon Fitch alone was on a 16 fight unbeaten streak and Matt Hughes was one of the most dominant champs in MMA until he ran into GSP in the second fight. That's equal to Islam taking out Charles if not more.

Islam with wins over Charles and Volk, isn''t even comparable to what GSP did before ranking were a real thing.
Even guys like Thiago Alves were on 7 fight streaks with wins over Hughes and Koscheck. Compare that to Islam with Bobby Green and having to go all the way back to Armen on debut to get another win.

Only guy with more ranked wins than GSP is Jones, who fought nearly every major player at 205 across 2-3 generations. He did it juiced to the gills though.
Islam is below Weidman in terms of accomplishments within his division. He (like Khabib had) has the potential to get there though at LW with 2-3 defences.
