Sean O'Malley believes Conor McGregor isn’t the same fighter after his recent years of yacht life during his prime.

McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021, when he suffered a broken leg in a trilogy clash with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Despite McGregor having gone 1-3 in his last four bouts, the Irishman’s return to the Octagon remains highly anticipated.

After months of teasing a return fight with Michael Chandler, McGregor recently announced that he will be fighting the former Bellator MMA champ during the International Fight Week on June 29. O’Malley believes the former UFC two-division champion isn’t as good as he was during his heyday. However, O’Malley also believes “Notorious” still has it in him to put on a show if he is really “dialed in.”

“I’m a huge fan of Conor and I would be very excited to watch him come back and compete. He’s looking good, he’s posting little videos here and there training, looks like he’s grappling a lot. So he’s very skilled, but what sets people apart is obviously the mindset — if he can get back on that,” O’Malley recently told ESPN.

More like if Conor has the Proper sauce at this point.

Not every fighter has a mentality like Mayweather where they continue to go back after they have money. Ironically most the fighters that are well paid or have their finances covered tend to become inactive fighters and aren't ever the same athletes they were before the money. I'd like to see Conor return, but besides recovering his old mentality he still has rekt his body with partying.

A proper focused Conor can absolutely win a fight in 2024 against Dennis Siver

I don't see him focusing,

Nor do I think him 100% focused is beating more talented fighters who are more active and also focused lol.

I feel like fate will just arrange itself in such a way where he smokes Chandler in the first round, talks shit about fake BMFs etc, and never fights again

The only thing Conor is smoking in the first round is a Cuban cigar.

Flip a coin with this lunatic, it’s so hard to say if the hunger of his ego outweighs the lavish excess of his lifestyle.
The world is a more interesting place if he’s ready for war instead of being washed
