Looking at maybe getting a red dot with acss. Most of my shooting at the range is sub 100 yards but a got a couple friends that like to go to a different range that has up to 500 yard targets. Yes, I know I could just bring my 308 instead or get a lpvo but been thinking about getting either this:

Or this:

with a flip mag. Anyone have experience with either of these? They are roughly the same price so not worried about that.

Get an Eotech instead.

All the Cheap Skate Highpower buddies of mine seem to go with the Primary Arms brand, cause its cheaper. Is it as good or better? I've no idea really. I know some have shot hogs with those sights, (usually under 100 yards)

Me Personally, I must have a stigmatism cause those red dots are always blurry and fucked up for my eyes.

As an alternative I go with a 1-4 or 1-6X Bushnell Scope with this reticle.

I've did timed singles from low ready from 25 yards to 100 yards with that scope, with good results. .82 sec at 25 yards to 1.69 sec at 100 on an 9X11 steel plate. After that I added a cheap laser, zero'd it at 30 ft, so anything super close I can get from low ready in .45 with that. Its quicker that red dot sight up close, (no searching for dot in the sight, just look at target)

The scope for me worked better, and is way better from 100 yards on.

Not trying to dissuade you on the red dot. This is just my experience and opinion yo.
