Leon/Belal and Shavkat/Colby are the next fights to make

Never want to watch Colby fight again

Leon/Shavkat

Belal/Colby

nobody want to watch Leon/Belal

First quarter of 2024. Leon took ZERO damage he can fight soon. He probably gets hit harder in sparring.

Leon/Belal has been a long time coming, Belal deserves it and I want to see Leon against a wrestler that PUSHES the pace for once, like the rounds 2 to 4 of the first Kamaru fight.

Kamaru was tentative in the rematch and Colby was absolute dogshit tonight.

On to Colby he's washed up, too much inactivity and fighting 38yo on a losing streak has caught up to him, if he wants another shot (will never happen) he needs to prove himself BIG and a win over Shavkat is how you do it.

For Shavkat it's Greta he stays active and builds up his resume with a household name.

Book it UFC 300 and UFC 301 respectively. Those are good fights
...and if Colby beats Shavkat, you've just removed your next logical title contender. No-one wants to see Colby against Leon again so soon so it's just a dumb move.

There's no reason for any contender to fight Colby at this stage. It's like all those people calling out Tony when his down slide began. The dude is washed.

He's washed? He hadn't fought in two years and still went the distance with and took the fifth round from the champ. If he's really washed, what does that say about Leon?

I don't see it. They can't deny Belal anymore. He will get title shot. Shavkat will be paired against someone in Top 4.

Did you hear them fawning over the social media engagement for Shavkat?

Dana is a big numbers guy. He follows the trends. If Shavkat is the hot ticket, he will make the fight.

The fact of the matter is that Leon is not a draw, and neither is Belal. Both have boring styles and boring personalities.

Shavkat on the other hand is a finisher, and has become a sweetheart to MMA fans based off his quiet approach and undeniable skillset.

It says what many already know.

Leon is overrated.

He got a title shot by beating lightweights (Gunnar, RDA, Cerrone, Diaz).

He beat an over the hill Usman for the belt.

Given how rusty he was, I think it's too soon to determine where he's at. After next fight, we should have a better idea.

The UFC dont like to match winner vs loser.
They'll feed Wonderboy to Colby since he did not want to fight Pereira last time, they'll keep on punishing him with bad matchups.
They might do Leon vs Belal and Brady vs Shavkat for contender number one. Both in the same card.

Colby doesn't deserve to share the Octagon with a great fighter like Shavkat, and Shavkat deserves a real opponent to make it clear that he's qualified for a title shot

Shavkat should fight Usman

belal already had his chance against leon and even tho it ended in that weird eye poke no contest thing... we saw enough to conclude that belal just does not belong in there with leon. What we did see in that match looked like a down syndrome child trying to strike with 1 of bruce lee's fictional movie characters.

They should have just given leon the win and disqualified belal from ever fighting leon again because of that embarrassing display he put on that night... kinda like how sometimes it goes to the judges after a foul if there were enough minutes of the match completed. They shoulda just done that despite it being brief. Belal looked like such dogshit during those few moments that it shoulda been enough to just give leon the W... sorta like a quick tech fall. We didn't need to see the rest of that fight play out & we sure as hell don't need to see it restarted from he beginning with more rounds.

saying leon and belel should rematch is like saying apollo creed should rematch ivan drago

Brady doesn't deserve shakvat IMO

Colby loses to everybody in the top 10 outside of Luque and a washed up Wonderboy. Brady is a 50/50 fight.

Colby is already begging for Wonderboy
