Anyone here actually famous

I’m infamous.
Not to be disrespectful, but this is about the level of 'famous' fighters nowadays left who come here at least openly.
Sherdog ain't what it was although the site itself has evolved alot with training forums etc so there's a lot more info now.

But it isn't anywhere near how close it was to the pulse of the sport like it was 20 years ago. Same is true of the Underground. Before the sport went mainstream people don't realize how central these kind of sites were, they were like a close knit network that helped keep the sport alive in slot of ways and give the fans a place to connect. Fighters at UFC events used to call out the UG for example sometimes like Tito famously did one time.

Josh Barnett and Tank Abbot both used to be here .
The level that actively posted then fell to guys like Wolfman as the years passed although even he got banned about 2 years ago after showing signs of mental instability (to be fair, he always came across missing a few screws and a name dropper hanger on).

At least we have a few actual amateur fighters still left, so it's not just 90% overweight keyboard potatoes and basement incels here.

When I got banned I my stomach sank :(
I'm just glad to be back, but I have to be a man of few words now there are cancel culture karens on here who will report me out of spite.
Whatever got you the hammer I wasn't privy to. We've been good Covid pals and Joshua Tree pals. So nice to see you back.

I've got a friend who is on here and has been in several Netflix and Hollywood movies. He's not a big name or that famous, but I'd say most of you have probably seen him in something.
Is he an African Australian by any chance?

I was being facetious. I’m not infamous nor famous. I did train with some of the biggest camps and know many of the the top guys in the sport (and maintain friendships to this day). I also had a decent amount of fights and fought a couple UFC vets as well as a current UFC fighter. With that said I was making my post in jest and yes I also remember the glory days here. I may have a 06’ join date but I have lurked since 02’ so I have seen the many metamorphosis of the forums here and the members.

Was that fight (in a club? or at a casino?) you posted where you looked like you were giving someone an aggressive back rub before or after you started your fight career?

Ah yes, I see you went to a decision with Platinum Mike Perry twice on the amateur circuit .

Anyway, good that there are same actual fighters here left of any level the site needs them.

You mean a bar fight vid? That one was a cruise ship if that’s what your referring to. Also to be fair he started it and pushed my GF and swung at me first. I’m no Joe Schilling.

Be honest though, had you at least had a lot of drinks before it? Like I believe he started it no questions there.

Yea good ole platinum those losses still bother me to this day tbh I truly thought I win those fights. Whatever the case my life outside the cage has been significantly more successful than anything I could’ve achieved in there so I guess God had a bigger plan for me then I realized.

In all honesty I was 100% drunk no doubt about it. I wasn’t the cause of that altercation but at that time of my life I was getting into a lot of unnecessary outside of the cage conflicts to say the least. Also I’ve been sober for years now that is all a old chapter of my life.

I avoided fights outside of the ring for the most part, I don't think I've been punched outside of the ring for close to 10 years (I'm 30 now), but at 18 - 20 there were a few years where booze got the best of me at parties.

Woldog is also a legit amateur fighter not mma I think but a long boxing and Muay Thai record so he gets to critique your technique in that vid.

Stephen Crowder used to post here before he became famous. I believe he trains(ed) bjj.

I have a massive amount of views from fiction writing. I guess I'm quasi famous. lol

Well hopefully I don’t get judged to harshly on a drunken fight from my youth. I promise I’m crisp in the Ring/Cage. If anyone’s ever in the Los Angeles area come by my gym I’m there 5 days a week in the morning before work. We can get some good training in. Open invite.

I got to hang out with Danny Castillo, Jeremy Stephens and Tom Lawlor... and they each admitted to me they have a lurker account on Sherdog. Tom said he posts all the time.

Yes.

I’m not. I’m just saying someone here probably is in some way.

Just messing with you bud! Hope all is going well.
I'm wondering where you got a gif of me trying to fight from?

I am certainly not famous, but I do get recognized fairly often when I go to fights (not a fighter)
