More coming out now that Grayson actually lives in Gatineau, Quebec where he runs a wrestling school with Evil Uno, which is a suburb right outside of Ottawa, so he didn't even have to drive far, just a few minutes. Apparently Grayson was mad they called him on the day of the show and Grayson told Pat Buck who called him to show up that it wasn't enough of a heads up.

The "dinner plans" was probably something funny someone in AEW told the dirtsheets. Probably cracked a joke like "he must've had dinner plans" and the dirtsheets being the dirtsheets ran with that as news
