Simple question, should I get into Moorcock?

I stopped watching at the halfway mark because of the spoilers. The dude in the vid seems very well-versed in high-fantasy stuff and he recommends at least beginning the first novel of the Elric series.

Too gauge my temperament, never been an avid reader, I got into the Anne Rice stuff a few years ago but stopped at the first four Lestat novels. I loved the LOTR movies, I read the Fellowship of the Rings years ago and had a hard time reading because of the old English writing style Tolkien did. Never attempted to read Game of thrones. I might have plenty of more time to read starting next year due to lessening my work schedule.

I've never heard of it...don't know anything about it...but yes.

As an avid D&D nerd, GoT book nerd, and fan of other fantasy IPs... wanted to get into Elric stuff, haven't yet..

This seems like a better intro vid to all things Moorcock.

I am beginning to draw so many possible IP's that are influenced by Moorcock even if I haven't begun reading the novels yet.

The Tygers of Pan Tang's name comes from the Moorcock novels

The Eternal Champion (Particularly the Elric Saga) are amongst my favorites. The Elric series was my LotR growing up.

Several bits of ink based on it adorn muh hide.
