Ultimately, for me, it seems like something he'd do and since it's actually reached the point of coming to trial he should be found guilty. I don’t know if Trump is *hoping* for jail, but I think he’s going to do whatever he wants and will certainly play victim/martyr if they do sentence him to jail. He’ll certainly use that to rile up his base.

That’s why I’m counting on the Judge to have some patience and let the Court Jester go on with the show, implementing the fines with no trip to the tank.

Just let the hearing play out with as little to no delays, only about three weeks left. At the end of the day, the case will be deliberated and the Court Jester will have no reasons for an Appeal on the grounds of Due Process, for being locked up during his trial.

If the trial and the witnesses continue as is, just getting to the end with a decision will be a harsher penalty then tossing him into the tank for a day.
