International Mysterious pneumonia outbreak leaves China's hospitals overwhelmed

Because you said something that was a half meaningful observation.

"Usually" you don't call known illnesses by their clinical presentations but when talking about emerging unknown illnesses, you do.
Only half meaningful.
Come on bro you know it's right.
Pneumonia isn't going around .. it's a set up.
Other stuff maybe contagious.. but to say Pneumonia is the pathogen is unlikely is it not?
Maybe used a little to cause hysteria?

Just been doing a bit of light reading.
so pneumonia is the cause of a virus or bacteria.
It's a causation .. not the cause.

Backwards.. bacteria or virus is the cause of pneumonia.

New reports are that this is the result of a known bacteria called Mycoplasma which causes something called an atypical or “walking” pneumonia.
There are conflicting reports regarding antibiotic resistance but it does not seem that this is a cause for concern for a new pandemic.

Reading between the lines it looks like they are using an illness monitoring system that is detecting the same symptom in an upswing of clinical takes. Officially though they are saying it is not one virus but multiple. So outside of the media narrative this seems pretty standard. It seems to be like trying to link all broken arms admitted into hospital as having a shared cause. So from what I can see judging by the reports is that the media just don't know how to read the data properly.
