Alex has beaten 4 UFC champs in 7 fights.

Taking into account his long mileage but relative inexperience in MMA, dude had a short window of opportunity to make it big and he passed with flying colors. Very happy for him.

I hope Glover and his coaches can help him take his grappling defence up a notch, because that still seems to be an obvious path to follow if you are aiming for his belt. But regardless of what follows, he already achieved a lot.

His grappling defense has gone up a bunch, which is why he beat Jan even after Jan was able to take him down. And he got up from the ground when Jiri had him down.

I'm actually surprised no one is attacking how he never defended a title in UFC yet. I like the way he fights and hyped for Alex. Glad he made it to the top in both divisions, but he's basically on par with Conor at this point without a title defense.

He looks skinny at LHW, I could see him bulking for HW maybe. Aspinall and Jones would be nightmare opponents though. Actually now that I'm thinking about it if Almeida dropped to LHW he'd be probably Pereira's kryptonite.
Pereira is too hitable and usually likes fights in the pocket. I dont like his chances against a Pav or Aspinall with his fighting style.

Pavlovich or Gane would be his best shot I think. But you're probably right would be a coinflip who lands. So Gane would probably be his best shot.

He's fulfilled the greatest aspirations when the UFC signed him. Work up to a TS with Izzy. Actually defeat him. Give 205 a shot and win a belt there.

Remember that it wasn't long ago a potential move to 205 was just whispers then he loses to Izzy and is giving it a "try".

7 months later he is 205 champ. We all thought he could make noise in 205 but champ that fast?

We can add Glover to the list of champs Jones has beaten if future champs count, like Strickland counting for Alex. Jones’ resume is the best in the sport.
I mean, It prolly is. When you have Shogun, DC, Rampage on your resume, Glover is just a bonus.

Jones beat Ryan Bader (dual Bellator champ later on), Shogun, Machida, Rampage, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort all back to back

Won and finished them all apart from Rashad
Jones bless

This is probably the only thing comparable I would think.

At the same time most of those guys were on the downside by the time Jones got to them with a few exceptions. I feel like all the names Alex has beaten are closer to their peaks

Two former LHW champions Jan and Jiri, Adesanya when he was the MW champion, and Strickland the future MW champion. All this in 2 years. He was also older than any of his opponents except when he fought Jan Blachowicz.

Interesting statistic. Has anyone done the same? Sure he was fast tracked to the Izzy fight, but anyway.
Alex is a bad man.
Shaq does not approve

Hendo probably has the best resume in the sport.
